Dear 2nd Year Bachillerato Students,
Here you can find some useful vocabulary for the Domestic Violence topic:
spousal abuse, violent, belittle, a shame, fracture, abusive, charged, slap, batter, custody, protective order or injunction, report to the police, mistreatment, pass a sentence, judge, break the law, etc.
If you can't send me the composition on paper, you could send it by mail to the following address: cabezueladelvalle@gmail.com, the thing is that I prefer you to do it by hand, because I'm not sure about the Internet access or time to surf, so I can't promise you anything.
Some topics for your compositions can be:
- The press today (junk TV, etc.)
- The family nowadays (the new type of families nowadays: homosexual parents, monoparental families, adoptions, etc.)
- Discipline at schools (how can we avoid undisciplined behaviour?)
- The new hobbies and pastimes (how do teenagers or families enjoy in their free time? Is a "botellón" a good way to have fun?)
- Does a job make a distinction? (You get a status according to your job)
Etc.
I'm looking forward to your compositions.
Thank you very much.
Belén Álvarez.
